Cream and Pastel Retro Print Repurposed Fabric Knotted Headband
If you've followed me on social media for a while (hit me up on Insta if you haven't!) then you've probably seen this fabric - it's no secret I love it.
It actually came to me after my partner's Nan sadly passed away and we helped clear her house - there was so many things to go through, and some of it just had no home. This, was one of those things.
A beautiful pair of curtains, 1970's in style but probably more accurately 1980's, that no one needed and was going to find its way to a clearance store or charity shop.
So I took them, lovingly washed them, and they've become one of my most used fabrics - and every time I sew something, it reminds me of her - and I can't help but think how wonderful repurposing is for this very reason: keeping memories alive.
All of our headbands are handmade with repurposed materials, giving them a whole new lease of life. They are hand sewn in my Cornish studio and carefully glued around the headband. The headband itself is soft, comfortable and doesn't pinch behind the ears! These must not be machine washed - if needed, just wipe over with a damp cloth to clean.
