I don't know about you, but I think the 1970s revival that happened in the late 1990s was around the time I fell in love with the era. From flared trousers to crochet to all things tasselled, it brought some great things back from the time of disco, boho and all things rock n roll and even today, I bloody love it.
I'm almost always Team Original when it comes to vintage, shunning remakes and replicas, but oh boy, this one is too good to give up.
Coloured in the most delicate blue - somewhere between baby, sky and duck egg - in the softest suede I have ever touched, this is instantly timeless. It has a classic lapel shape and deep dress pockets, combined with super soft tassels that sway with every movement in the most elegant way. The tassels emblazon the front across the bust in a V shape, down each arm and then across the back in a V shape to mirror the front.
This jacket sits on the lower hip and could be worn beautifully oversized or as a super figure hugging piece - the cut lends to a more tailored fit but would still look incredible worn slightly bigger.
The condition is near enough immaculate - I can't rate it enough in this way, one of the best pieces of vintage I have come across.
Pictured on a size 12 mannequin - measurements can be sent out on request.
